Work
-
Oct 2024 - Nov 2025 New York, NY
Lever Labs
Co-Founder & Hardware Lead
- Designed complete hardware system for educational robot: 4-layer ESP32 PCB with Li-ion charging, buck/boost converters, sensors (IMU, ToF, color sensor, encoders), user interface (OLED, LEDs, buzzer), three custom flex peripheral boards, and injection-mold-ready clamshell enclosure
- Solved critical hardware issues through 5 board revisions including I2C stability and ESP32 brownout during motor switching; optimized DFM with Hirose board-to-board connectors eliminating manual soldering, reducing per-unit cost by 70% and assembly time from 45 minutes to 4 minutes
- Worked directly with contract manufacturer in China on electronics production; piloted with 30+ students, accumulating hundreds of hours of real-world classroom validation
-
May 2023 - Aug 2023 Hawthorne, CA
SpaceX
Mechanical Engineering Intern - Foundry (Starship Raptor Engine)
- Designed, built, and deployed automated resin reclamation system: integrated PLC controls, sensors, pumps, and motorized valves to enable $500K+ annual savings through material recovery; iterated on hardware to solve flow constraints and achieve production-ready performance
- Designed plate exchange station in Siemens NX, fabricated steel frame and integrated electric actuators to deploy to production floor; eliminated manual lifting hazard and transformed two-person operation into single-operator automated process
- Received full-time return offer
Education
-
MAY 2024 New York, NY
Bachelor of Engineering
The Cooper Union: Albert Nerken School of Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
- 3.9/4.0 GPA (Major)
Projects
- SPRING 2023
Autonomous Combat Robot
Autonomous Mobile Robots
- Designed and built autonomous combat robot that won first place in competition, employing mecanum wheels for enhanced maneuverability and omnidirectional movement
- Developed a compact spring-powered ping pong ball cannon using a servo motor retained stacked wave spring, optimizing for power density and projectile velocity, hitting a target velocity of 8 m/s
- Integrated a suite of sensors (360° LIDAR, infrared camera) for autonomous navigation and precise target tracking
- SUMMER 2022
Optidrop - Eye Drop Administration Assistor
Invention Factory at The Cooper Union
- Designed consumer eye drop administration device focused on ergonomics, improving accuracy and ease of self-administration
- Iterated through 30+ prototypes using Fusion 360 and 3D printing, refining form factor and usability based on testing feedback
- Filed provisional patent with USPTO (Application number 63,397,888)
- Conducted patient trials with NYC-based ophthalmologist to validate design and gather real-world usage data
